from another point of view

These are “Not supposed to be art installations” in Aomori.

When Hinuma San, Takamine San, Hang San and me went to a place where we could buy more woods for Takamine San’s Tree House Project, we went to a place where you wouldn’t expect to find anything Artsy.. but there it was. Pure and edgy against the god made wonders. wow.

Pieces like these, not really trying hard to be a form of something, a pile of  large scale materials for daily constructions are really a great find. Often times neglected, but when noticed… you will really see the greatness of these images.

I think when somebody tries to put this idea inside a gallery or a museum, in my opinion, it will suck the essence of it all.

There are things, even conceptually that needs to be kept untouched and  preserved to its natural state and site.

–I agree, and would no doubt do the same thing: take photos! There are a lot of awesome images we take for granted; we just need fresh eyes to see with in order to really appreciate them. Thanks for sharing these Jay!
