Day 06: Party Aomori Style

yesterday was my first time to party with the Japanese people, all I can say is that it was really one great experience. The party started with a performance event for the 24 Our Television by Nadegata Instant Party at the ACAC. I was assigned to video document the performances till the celebration. Then after the event, we all prepared to go to a restaurant in Aomori City Center and drank the night away. After enjoying our time at the restaurant we went to a Karaoke place/bar. Then went home around 3AM and had tea and conversations with those who are staying inside the residential hall of ACAC.

I also met a lot of Curators and Artists and Musicians today.

to name a few…

Junko Tsukada, Curator of Akiyoshidai International Art Village

Miwa Takamura, Curator of Tokyo Wonder Site

Mizuki Takahashi, Curator of Β Art Tower Mito

Otomo Yoshihide, a musician and sound artist

Makoto Nakamura, a musician

Tenshin, who is an artist/monk who lives in Hokkaido

I also got the chance to finally talk to some of the people I met earlier of my stay here…

Tohru Nakazaki, Tomoko Noda, Yamashiro Daisake- also known as the Nadegata Instant Party

Mariko Tsuji, Takahashi Usui, Yuki Arisa of the Nadegata Crew

and Saito Masako of the Aomori International Relations Volunteer Association.

I also learned that Aomori is also known as the APPLE Town of Japan. Hope I will have the chance to see an Apple tree and pick one apple. hehehe. πŸ™‚

Great Art, Delicious Food, Good People and a very wonderful place… in two words, AOMORI STYLE!
